How to Get Involved:

  3. Some committees grant immediate membership; others require a Presidential appointment.
  4. Committee year: November to November, ensuring a productive engagement.

Per our bylaws, you are a member of some committees as soon as you register, but others require Presidential appointment. The committee year is November-November. 



Certified Land-Title Institute

To recognize properly qualified persons with the professional designation of Certified Land-Title Searcher (CLS or Certified Land-Title Closer; promote and maintain higher standards in the profession; establish educational standards for the profession (Eligible committee members: Current CLS and CLC Designees)

Claims Prevention, Avoidance and Education

Educate the membership in matters of claims avoidance and prevention and other claims matters as the committee may see fit.

Cyber Security Committee

The Cyber Security Committee is a newly formed committee focused on technology affecting the Title industry and to assist in the development and promotion of cyber fraud awareness.

Education Committee

Develop and provide educational opportunities to the membership and potential membership of the Association. 

Forms Committee

Assist the State Regulatory authority in a strictly advisory capacity with the approval of title insurance forms, the promulgation of rules relating to title insurance forms and issues associated thereto. Excluding any issues pertaining to rates or rating issues.

Governmental Affairs and Judiciary Committee

Monitor and report on laws, regulations and court decisions which affect the title insurance industry. Develop and provide preferred industry legislative language.

Membership Committee

Expand the membership of the association. Call on prospective members and work to retain existing members.

FLTA Charitable Action Foundation - Board of Trustees (Opens Soon)

The FLTA Charitable Action Foundation is the charitable arm (501(c)(3)) of the Florida Land Title Association. The call for Trustees will be open through Friday, August 18, 2023. Two-year terms will begin in November with the convention. Please complete the questionnaire application for consideration.
